BUZZFEED NEWS: Love birds spotted! Or is Pakistan trying to seduce rich countries into an alliance?

Today, on April 29 th , the second ESTMUN2023 formal session was held. The delegates had to form an alliance with each other and come up with resolutions. Well some delegates decided to play this game dirty…

The delegates formed 2 parties, the first party as they call themselves “the rich ones” had Canada, Japan, Ireland, Germany, Italy and Pakistan delegates. And the other alliance consisted of US, Turkey, Burundi and the rest of the committee members. I know what you’re thinking, Burundi and Turkey? Didn’t they just had beef with each other?

Well I asked Burundi representative why they have decided to form an alliance with Turkey, if they extremely disagreed with each other on the religion topic. He said that he later did a

reflection and came to an agreement that Turkey had some valid points.

“This is like social suicide for them”

- Pakistan about US

The first party wasn’t that happy about US not forming an alliance with them so the seduction began. Two handsome Canada and Pakistan representatives used their charm to lean some countries into their side, the first target was US.

After long manipulations and accusations that Burundi is stealing money from the US, US was immune to their charm and haven’t changed it’s position. There were other tries to manipulate

Greece and Venezuela but they weren’t interested. Not everyone unfortunately managed to stay strong…

Nigeria and Rwanda changed their position only based on personal relations with Pakistan.

After loosing these members Burundi kindly asked to stop trying to “steal” people from their party, then Canada and Japan decided to move on to gaslighting press.

They decided that this manipulation may not look good in press so they spread false accusations about their opponent party. We even got some footage of them working together with the BBC news.
