Latest Buzzfeed ‘s article regarding a journalist from Global Times spying on one of the Buzzfeed
journalists has been taken with huge criticism and as far as we know it has even been over
exaggerated.
Drowning and pulling in others with them
BuzzFeed blamed a Global Times journalist of espionage – that is correct as in our eyes it’s exactly
what happened. However, as the news spread, Global times seems to be in collaboration with one of
the Daily Mail members. How accurate is this collaboration remains the main question, we quote
yesterday’s article of Daily Mail:
“She is trying to commit suicide”
So… Is she trying to or is she actually doing it?
On the other hand, do they really have a strong relation with one another, or is it only for “the
views” and fame? A concern is rising about Daily Mail’s statement “He tried to help, but he was
too busy taking the photo.” We understand that media is extremely important, but human lives
cannot be replaced by any chance. We see this as an extremely unresponsible behavior, if it was
actually known that the spying journalist was depressed.
The point of crossing the line of truth and logic
It is clear that the interview with a depressed member was done during day time. The article of Daily Mail shows a picture of the journalist being “depressed”. We would really like to point out the
details, such as her shoes and clothing.
Later that day, during a session, a journalist of BuzzFeed actually saw another journalist dressed
just like the one that was supposed to be dead sitting next to him. Let’s only point out that the article
regarding the suicide of a young journalist was published around 3PM, while the photo that a journalist of BuzzFeed took with the young lady’s shoes in it was made at exactly 4:59PM. Coincidence? We think not.
Perhaps the end? It is difficult to understand whose fault is all this misleading information regarding suicide. Firstly, we could think it’s Global Times, but then nobody knows – perhaps it
was Daily Mail’s idea to spread such misleading information without any clear evidence that the young journalist did commit suicide or was harmed in any way.
On top of that, Daily Mail is now wishing BuzzFeed to go to hell, which we find extremely
disrespectful from our perspective. We are being attacked with spoons, not weapons, Daily Mail should really think about their content and misleading information they like to wash people’s brains
with.
