On April 29th second UNHCR committee session was held. In this session delegates of the
countries’ formed alliances with each other. Unlike yesterday some of the relationships between
countries has changed.
Unexpectedly previous enemies: Turkey and Burundi formed an alliance together. Nigeria, Rwanda, South Korea and many others also joined it, USA joined later leaving Ireland’s, Canada’s, Germany’s, Japan’s and etc. alliance. They oozed enthusiasm and during an unmoderated caucus their moto was: ,, For poor people”.
When asked about the yesterday’s disagreement with Turkey the delegate of Burundi stated:,, I did
some reflection last night and realised that some of the Turkey’s statements made sense. It seems
that Burundi’s delegate’s opinions are not that constant."
Talking about Burundi’s opinions, the delegate seemed very friendly towards USA’s delegate. This made quite some noise because the delegate of Canada then stated that BURUNDI IS USING USA FOR MONEY! The delegate denied everything as politicians usually do. But the truth is yet uncovered.
The other alliance was protecting rights of the refugee’s. The delegate of Burundi acted very
provoking towards them. He stated:,, I don’t need to be rich” towards them. What does it mean?
Does the alliance using it’s sources to push their opinion? This alliance was also quite aggressive
towards Turkey’s and Burundi’s union. The delegate of Pakistan was heard accusing Turkey of
being Islamophobic. That’s quite some Drama! Burundi as an answer to that called them weak!
,,You kill the refugees and you done with the problem”
Later in that day during a break Burundi’s delegate was heard saying that the solution towards their opponent alliance’s problem about the refugees is to kill them. WHAT A SHOCK!
